Greyhawk bassist Darin Wall er en helt

Greyhawk-bassist, Darin Wall, stoppet en skyting før den til og med hadde begynt under en konseet på The Shredder i Boise, Idaho. Wall sa i et intervju med KTVB7 at han så den kommende skytteren, Ethan Byrd, begynte å gjøre "fingerpistol"-bevegelser og lot som om han skjøt folk i mengden.

"I don't know if anyone else saw it," forteller Wall. "I got a weird feeling right away. Sometimes you confront really wasted people, or really drunk, they're really angry and they're shouting and they're belligerent. This guy was really cold, I would say."

Wall og et annet medlem fra et annet band prøvde å holde Byrd utenfor stedet, da gikk Byrd ut og returnerte deretter med en pistol. Wall taklet Byrd, som dessverre skjøt Wall i beinet under basketaket.

"I saw him reach behind his back and grab the gun. That's when I moved in. No other options went through my head. The gun was in the pocket of his pants, and he shot me through his pants, and got me in the upper thigh," kan Wall fortelle.

Byrd ble arrestert av politiet i Boise, og Wall er for tiden hjemme i Seattle, Washington på bedringens vei.
