Elton John har uttalt i sitt program "Rocket Hour" at han har spilt inn noe med Metallica. Det er overhengende fare for at han surrer med coveralbumet til Miley Cyrus som har en Metallica-cover med Elton John på.

"I've just done something with METALLICA, During this lockdown period, I've been working with [the virtual band] GORILLAZ and people like that. I haven't been doing any Elton stuff, but I've been doing great stuff with other people."
